A Delta town on the Sacramento River, known for a gas field and for a wandering whale.

Humphrey the humpback whale swam up the river to here in 1985 and was guided back out.
A natural gas field was discovered beneath the town in 1936.
The Bass Derby has run each fall since 1934.
