A tiny town on the east shore of Lake Washington, founded in 1908 as an arts and crafts colony by a group from Seattle.

At 0.08 square miles it is the smallest municipality in the state.
The founders' plan was a community of artists supported by a communal workshop, which did not last.
It has no commercial district at all.
