An orchard town in the Wenatchee valley, renamed in 1904 from Mission for the vale of Kashmir.

Aplets and Cotlets, the fruit and walnut confection, have been made here since 1920.
The Chelan County Historical Museum keeps a village of relocated pioneer buildings.
The valley grows pears as much as apples.
