Morton sits where the timber country begins, and it was cedar that built it. The town is the last real stop before the southern approaches to Mount Rainier.
- The Morton Loggers' Jubilee has been held every August since 1938.
- It is named for Levi P. Morton, vice president under Benjamin Harrison.
