About 1952 · Card no. 5009
The midway Ferris wheel is a descendant of the original, built for the 1893 Chicago World's Fair by George Ferris to answer the Eiffel Tower. It carried 2,160 people at once and every county fair has been imitating it since.
The town is invented. Everything in the paragraph above it is not. Every card here is an original painting, free to send by email or by link.
